Assistant Manager at Spicknall's Farm Market

A working produce farm in Beltsville Maryland is looking for someone to help manage a 3000sf retail market on the farm. It is an open-air market, open 7 days a week. They are open mid-April through December. They sell a complete line of produce and seasonal plants & flowers. Hours during the season can range from 50-60 hours a week with one day off. Full time with salary between $30K-40K based on experience/performance, including 12 weeks off during the winter.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage activites related to stocking, pricing & rotation of merchandise
• Ensure that the work environment is clean and safe.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving customer concerns/questions
• Maintain proper pricing in POS system
• Assist with scheduling hours for employees
• Order non-produce items
• Cashier

Qualifications & Skills:

• Management experience working with part time employees
• Retail experience preferred
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Capacity to stand for long periods
• Ability to work in hot or cold conditions
• Have a sense of humor
