Research Support Position
Corteva Research Station New Holland, PA

Corteva Agriscience is seeking individuals to work at our New Holland, PA location during the summer of 2021. This experience provides individuals with a broad-based exposure on the day-to-day activities of a field research and corn breeding station.

Responsibilities:
Individuals will be expected to participate in all aspects of the research center's activities. Responsibilities may include: data collection, plot maintenance, and performing disease inoculations to test for plant resistance, and corn pollination.

A key component of the position will be the collection of high quality data on specific traits of economic importance. Some traveling with overnight stays in Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania may be required.  This position provides an excellent opportunity for research experience in the seed industry.

Qualifications:

  • Education focus in Agriculture Science, Agronomy, Plant Physiology, Plant Pathology, Genetics, Biology or a related field is preferred
  • Agricultural background beneficial
  • Must be willing to relocate or commute to the New Holland, PA area for the duration of employment
  • Willingness to work outdoors and demonstrate a safe work culture is required
  • Must be detail-oriented with ability to collect accurate data
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
