The Office of the State Superintendent of Education’s (OSSE) Division of Health & Wellness is looking for a Farm to School Specialist who will be responsible for overseeing three Federal Farm to School Grants. This two-year position is specifically responsible for administering Farm to School Grants and supporting Farm to School in DC, including developing state level guidance, procuring and managing contractors, federal reporting, providing training and technical assistance to sub-recipient agencies, managing administrative budgets, oversight and monitoring of the program, development and implementation of strategic improvements to farm to school and local food purchasing programs. An ideal candidate will be able to excel in an environment that requires working both with a team and independently, be able to manage their own caseload and be passionate about providing healthy, nutritious meals to the District residents.
