National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Hollings Scholarship

Attention rising SOPHOMORES studying atmospheric and oceanic sciences, environmental engineering, environmental sciences or policy, or ANY major with a strong environmental focus!

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Hollings Scholarship provides two-year academic scholarships (up to a maximum of $9,500 per year) for full-time study, and a 10-week, full-time, paid internship position ($700/week) the summer after junior year at a NOAA facility. In the last eight years, 36 Maryland students have won Hollings Scholarships!

Academic Programs is hiring! Education Abroad Peer Mentor



We are looking for an Education Abroad Peer Mentor for the College of AGNR!   This is a great opportunity to build your communication and leadership skills in a paid position supporting international education initiatives in the College. 

Peer Mentors are students who have studied abroad and can share their insights, enthusiasm, tips, and advice with students considering education abroad (short term or semester courses) and faculty who are planning to lead international programs.  Peer mentors meet with students one-on-one, visit with student organizations, give short presentations in classes, and help us maintain our AGNR Study abroad web pages. The position is for 10 hours per week, in-person in Symons Hall with occasional night or weekend duties.
