Community Foodworks Farmers Market Manager Positions Available

Community Foodworks seeks Market Managers for its Farmers Markets in DC and Northern Virginia:

Community Foodworks is a DC based non-profit organization that operates a portfolio of
innovative food access programs through network of vibrant farmers markets, farm stands, and partnerships designed to improve the health and wellbeing of Washington DC Metro Area residents.

The Farmers Market Manager will be responsible for daily operations of the Market. The Market Manager is the “go-to” person for vendors and consumers during market hours, and is the EBT/SNAP representative on site. The job requires strong organization skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people from all walks of life. The Manager’s general responsibilities include: fostering community support for the market, helping promote the market, and keeping accurate weekly records of market activities. The Manager is required to be on-site at market and available to vendors and consumers at all times during market.

They are hiring for 2 markets in DC, the Glover Park-Burleith Farmers Market and the Uptown Farmers Market, formerly the 14th and Kennedy market in Brightwood, north of Petworth. They are also hiring 2-3 managers for our network of six farmers markets in Northern Virginia, in Fairfax and Prince William counties, which would be more convenient if one has access to a car.

No one at CFW is paid less than $18/hour.
