Neurodiversity & Disabilities: Negotiating the Transition From Campus to Career

In celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, UMD will be hosting the event Neurodiversity & Disabilities: Negotiating the Transition From Campus to Career on Wednesday Oct 16th from 12-1:00 P.M. in Hornbake South, Room 3100.

If you have a disability, or are neurodiverse,* you may be thinking ahead to disclosure or accommodations on the job. You may wonder if you should disclose or seek accommodations. Join us for a discussion of these issues and for resources to think through the decision to disclose and request accommodations, or not, and how to do so if you choose to.

You can RSVP at go.umd.edu/campustocareerFor more information, please contact Nancy Forsythe nforsyt2@umd.edu

*Neurodiversity (ND) refers to the perspective that differences in learning and thought can be leveraged to create value and enhance innovation. ND includes ADHD, mental health challenges, autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, epilepsy, among others.
