The Charles Koiner Center for Urban Farming (CKC Farming) is a nonprofit land trust, created in 2019, for the purposes of protecting and managing urban farms that inspire the next generation of sustainable food innovators. The CKC Urban Farmer Internship is designed for high school and college students seeking SSL hours, college credit, or a small stipend (please note, the stipend is reserved for second term interns). Interns are expected to dedicate 4 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks.
  • Spring internship runs Mar 16 - Jun 5, 2020
  • Summer internship runs Jun 8 - Aug 21, 2020
  • Fall internship runs Aug 31 - Nov 20, 2020

At the end of this internship, you will know how to compost using a 3-bin system, start and care for seedlings, operate a drip irrigation system, package and transport produce for market, and so much more. Read testimonials from past interns by clicking here.
