Are you a Pell Grant recipient planning to study abroad in Summer 2020, Fall 2020, or Fall/Spring 2020? You may be eligible to apply for the U.S. State Department’s Gilman Scholarship, which provides up to $5,000 for study abroad and up to $8,000 if you are studying a critical language. In the last three years, over 100 UMD undergraduate students have won Gilman Scholarships!

DEADLINE TO APPLY: March 3, 2020 (11:59pm Pacific Time) To be eligible, students must be: a U.S. citizen, a Pell Grant recipient, a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior (includes all majors), and studying abroad for at least 21 days.
