Young Professionals & Collegiate Symposium: “Cultivating Talent for Tomorrow”

The League of United Latin American Citizens Federal Training Institute, one of the nation’s preeminent defender of civil rights would like to invite you to their Federal Training Institute (FTI) “Cultivating Talent for Tomorrow” Young Professionals & Collegiate Symposium. This event is a collaborative effort with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Blacks in Government (BIG) NIH chapter, National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers (NCHEPM), the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), and other Federal agencies.

The event is free of charge and will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 (from 9:00 am -3:00 pm) at the William H. Natcher Conference Center, Bethesda Campus, Building 45, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, Maryland 20892. This event is open to all students, career counselors, college staff, recent graduates and professionals interested in a career in the federal government. The workshops aim to provide information on opportunities in the federal government and provide participants with the resources necessary to be better prepared when applying for employment in the federal government.

The workshops will provide information on the following topics:

  • How to find and apply for federal employment
  • How to build a federal resume,
  • How to prepare for your interview
  • Career opportunities for students, recent graduates and professionals
