Plant Health Care Technician Position

McFall and Berry is currently seeking Plant Health Care Technicians for positions available in Maryland/DC. Candidate must be well organized, effective communication skills, knowledge of horticultural practices, knowledge of pesticide controls and plant material identification is essential. Prior experience in the landscaping industry is preferred but not required.

Skills Needed:
  • Effective client communication and care
  • Complete diagnostic reports
  • Ability to problem solve in the field.
  • Ability to perform work in an efficient manner.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and treat insect, disease, physiological, and cultural conditions
  • Select the most appropriate product or treatment to be utilized for each problem
  • Apply granular, liquid, and systemic applications
  • Safely follow industry standards and regulations
Basic Qualifications: 
  • Valid driver’s license
  • DOT physical exam
  • Knowledge of tree & shrub species
  • Knowledge of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
  • Ability to diagnose pest, nutrient, or other landscaping issues impacting trees and shrubs.
  • Good attitude, punctual and willing to learn.
  • Self-motivated, honest and trustworthy
  • Values client satisfaction
  • Communicates effectively
