Grateful Gardeners Farm is a small organic cut flower farm in the AG reserve of Montgomery County. They are always looking for help on the farm with planting, irrigation, plant and pest management, harvesting and many other tasks. They are also running an aquaponics study and a double blind study on an algae based fertilizer that hasn’t hit the market yet. These would be additional opportunities for a student to learn beyond the day to day grind of flower farming, but to experience some floriculture research as well.
