  • Learn from Dr. Robert Orr, Dean of UMD’s School of Public Policy and United Nations under secretary-general, and special advisor to the UN secretary-general on climate change.

  • Hear guest lectures from international experts including those who were involved in the creation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SGDS)


Who is eligible? This course is open to all majors. We need people with different skill sets, perspectives and identities to make real change and work toward these global goals. This one-credit addition to your schedule will give you new skills to help us build a better future and expand your international network. 

 

Meet your professor! Dr. Robert Orr, Dean of UMD’s School of Public Policy, United Nations under secretary-general, and special advisor to the UN secretary-general on climate change. Dean Orr’s extensive experience with the United Nations will give students first-hand insight into the development and execution of the SDGs.
