Rolling Road Golf Club was originally built in 1919 and designed by two-time British Open winner, inductee into the Worlds Golf Hall of Fame and internationally acclaimed golf course architect, Willie Park Jr. The golf course is set on 89 acers of rolling terrain in Catonsville Md. Currently the Golf Club is involved in a Master Plan to bring back the original charm from the early 1900’s.
Your RRGC Internship will cover:
- Daily Course Set Up
- Cultural Practices
- Calibration of sprayers and fertilizer equipment
- Chemical and Fertilizer Applications
- Water management in the Mid Atlantic
- Irrigation upkeep and repairs
- Equipment operation
- Working closely with Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent
- Leading small crews on golf course projects
- Working with Equipment Manager

The internship portion with the Baltimore Orioles will consist of the following:
- Daily field preparations/set up
- Agronomic practices: sodding, aeration, topdressing, verticuting, sweeping
- Equipment operation
- Small engine repair and maintenance
- Irrigation maintenance and repair
- Chemical and fertilizer applications
- Data collection
- Field construction projects
- Maintaining Kentucky bluegrass in a transition zone
- Water management
- Uniforms provided
