AGNR 2021 Request for Grant Proposals- Maryland Food Systems

The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources has opened a request for proposals focusing on its Healthy Food Systems strategic initiative.

The goal of this funding program is to develop engaging lessons, teaching tools and promotional products about Maryland’s Food System. The target audience is middle and high school students in public priority schools. Relevant lesson themes may include, but are not limited to components for a sustainable local food system:
  • Production 
  • Processing
  • Distribution
  • Marketing
  • Access 
  • Consumption 
  • Food waste...
Eligibility - staff, faculty or students with appointments in AGNR. Please see the request for proposals, linked here, for more information.
 
Proposals are due no later than Tuesday, October 12 at 5pm EST. Email proposals and questions to Dr. Henley (shenley@umd.edu). Put ‘HFS School Grants Program’ in the subject line, and for students put ‘HFS-Student School Grants Program’ in the subject line.

  1. The good news about the American nutritional situation is that it is quite easy to fix. Given appropriate nutrition, the human body has an amazing ability to heal itself.
