Volunteer with the Food Recovery Network

The Food Recovery Network (FRN) is a student group at the University of Maryland dedicated to packing surplus food from University diners and delivering it to community partners that provide meals for the hungry in the Washington, D.C. area. This engages a diverse array of students, staff, faculty, and administrators to build a community around the service they do, and helps to make the University of Maryland a leader in sustainability by taking a vital step towards zero waste.

After two years of uncertainty, FRN is excited to recover again this upcoming spring! For the month of February, they are starting recoveries for volunteers on Tuesdays at 251 North Campus Diner. Here is the link to sign up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0944A8A723AAFB6-february

Throughout the semester, they plan to expand opportunities to the other diners and offer more opportunities. If you are interested in receiving emails from them on more recovery opportunities throughout the semester, please sign up for their email list via this google form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfPoS3BhTmcvfhWj7CJIfeGPz92ZovD-LGjBtXj9XHdRuQg3A/viewform?usp=sf_link
