As some of you may know, our Market Manager, Frances Ippoliti, is stepping down after four years of keeping the market running smoothly and efficiently – no small feat, especially during a pandemic! We greatly appreciate all Frances has done for the market and extend our heartfelt thanks to her.
We are now seeking a new Market Manager. The Market Manager contracts to provide the following services:
- Scheduling volunteers for each market
- Coordinating with the GFM Board
- Overseeing vendors on market day to ensure compliance with ordinances and market rules
- Planning and implementing layout
- Administering a friendly, safe, healthful and orderly market environment
- Coordinating with City staff/police and County officials
- Overseeing set up and take down
- Reporting accurate market statistics
- Overseeing the market SNAP program
- Requires up to 12 hours weekly, May through November, including Sundays 9 am to 3 pm. Occasional hours off-season.
Candidates should have excellent organizational skills and effectiveness, and ability to work diplomatically with diverse groups of people.
The contract would be at a rate of $25/hour.
If you want to know more, please contact the Greenbelt Farmers Market Board at info@greenbeltfarmersmarket.
Please forward this to anyone you think would be interested and would make a good manager for the market!
