Position Summary/Purpose of Position

The Graduate School is seeking an hourly undergraduate student Office Assistant to support the Dean’s Office by performing administrative and project-based tasks necessary to complete a series of concurrent operations projects currently underway.  Reporting to the Assistant to the Dean the Office Assistant will be responsible for organizing physical office space, managing supplies, implementing an inventory system, preparation of various forms and documents and other duties as assigned.  

Job Duties

  • Assist with planning and implementation of the Dean’s Office Organization and Storage project 

  • Coordinate and support Renovation Services, Building Security Services and/or Facilities Management meetings.  

  • Assist with office reorganization by relocating and organizing physical files, office stationery and equipment 

  • Participate in developing and maintaining an inventory of office stationary and related supplies  

  • Assist with supply inventory document management and organization 

  • Clean and sanitize office equipment and appliances 

  • Other duties as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current University of Maryland College Park undergraduate student.

Good oral and written communication skills required

Great customer service and organizational skills

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience working with diverse populations

Ability to work independently

Professional appearance and attitude
