The UMD Department of Environmental Science & Technology is offering two new courses for students this fall:
- ENST 499K - ENST101: Ecological Discovery and Natural Solutions
- ENST 499I - Save Soil, Save the World
ENST 499K - ENST101: Ecological Discovery and Natural Solutions is a 1-credit seminar-style class geared towards undergraduates either in ENST or considering majoring in ENST. This seminar provides a unique and exciting opportunity for students to learn directly from faculty and other members of the ENST community as they share their discoveries and the solutions they are pursuing to some of the most relevant and important environmental issues we face.
ENST 499I - Save Soil, Save the World is a 3-credit course in which students will study fundamental soil properties and processes that impact the production of greenhouse gasses, as well as explore ways that soils can be used to mitigate climate change.
