The Royal Scholars program is designed to provide an opportunity for outstanding college students to represent the American Royal and the agriculture industry. In recognition of the outstanding achievements of the Royal Scholars and their contribution the mission of the American Royal, the American Royal Association will award a $2,500 scholarship to each student as a member of the program. Students will also travel to the American Royal twice during the 2022-2023 academic year. They will represent the American Royal and interact with youth at the American Royal Livestock Show (Fall 2023) and Rodeo (Spring 2024).

Age Requirements and Criteria
· Between ages of 18-25 as of January 1, 2023.
· Enrolled in a college or university majoring in agriculture, food, natural resources or other related discipline as an undergraduate student.
· Cumulative collegiate grade point average equivalent or above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
· Former Royal Scholars are not eligible to receive the scholarship more than once
Application Deadline: April 30, 2023
· American Royal Scholarship Committee will determine finalists by May 15, 2023
o The committee reserves the right to interview finalists if deemed necessary
· Royal Scholars will be announced the first week of June 2023
