The Resilience CAP (RCAP) grant, which targets sustainability and forage in agroecosystems by emphasizing plant diversity, crop perenniality, and economic circularity, offers student interns at the University of Maryland the chance to delve into Integrated Pest Management in sustainable agriculture. Led by Dr. Bill Lamp, the internship focuses on forage-based systems and explores beneficial arthropod biodiversity, aligning with RCAP's broader research goals. This immersive experience not only provides hands-on research opportunities but also allows interns to design independent projects that contribute to advancing the understanding of sustainable agricultural practices. Dr. Lamp's interdisciplinary approach, covering plant-insect interactions, aquatic entomology, non-target risk analysis, and biological control, serves as the foundation for this impactful internship opportunity.
