Get Ready for the Mid-Term Elections in November

Maryland Gubernatorial and U.S. Congressional General Election Deadlines 

  • Deadline to register to vote for the general election: Tuesday, October 13, 2026

  • Deadline to request to receive an absentee ballot by mail or fax: Tuesday, October 27, 2026

  • Deadline to request to receive an absentee ballot via the internet: Friday, October 30, 2026

  • Early Voting in Maryland: Thursday, October 22-Thursday, October 29, 2026

  • Deadline for absentee ballots to be received by local board: Tuesday, November 3, 8 pm 

  • General Election Day: November 3, 2026, Polls open from 7 am to 8 pm
