AGNR Cornerstone Networking Event: Ensure a Clean and Healthy Chesapeake Bay on Nov. 12th

On behalf of Dr. Evelyn Cooper, Assistant Dean in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, we would like to formally invite you to the 2019 AGNR Cornerstone Networking Event: Ensure a Clean and Healthy Chesapeake Bay! This year, we have the privilege to meet and learn from Dr. Rita Colwell - distinguished UMD professor, 2006 recipient of the National Medal of Science, and the 11th director of the National Science Foundation. Dr. Colwell is one of the world’s foremost experts in vibrios and a pioneer for women in science. Come learn about her work in infectious diseases and how they impact global health.

Registration is available on our website. We highly encourage you to register for all of the available sessions and opportunities featured throughout the day. The event will feature experts on stormwater management, water use and reuse, our living natural resources and Chesapeake Bay aquatic life, water quality and safety, and much more. All registered students should print and share the excused absence letter (linked here) to your instructor as soon as possible.  The sooner you let your professor know, the easier it will be to arrange to complete any missed work before the November 12 event.

Free food will be provided! We will be raffling away AGNR quarter-zip hoodies and other AGNR swag!

Date: Tuesday, November 12, 2019
Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Location: 0647 Ag Engineering/Animal Science Building
This is a by-invitation-only event! RSVP is required.

We hope to see you there!
