The Project Engineer will report to Estimator and Project Managers.
Job Overview
A Project Engineer will assist the Estimator for gathering quotes and assisting with proposals for projects. This key role will provide administrative support to keep the projects on pace and to assist in meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Research material and job cost pricing for Project Manager approval. This would include materials, toilets, hotels, dumpsters, equipment hauling, etc.
- Order materials per Project Manager requests and assist with material supplier coordination.
- Set up and maintain all job files.
- Document management; contract documents, subcontractor documents, waiver of liens, vendor waivers, vender compliance, COIs, and all plan sets.
- Assist with the preparation of all change order requests; coordinate the estimating of all change orders with the project estimator or subcontractor; assist with informing all field staff that change the scope or original design of contract documents.
- Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the project schedule. Update the project schedule, as directed.
- Administrative support for Environmental Consulting and Construction staff.
- Properly code all invoices and enter job invoices that have been approved by Project Managers into Viewpoint.
- Assist Office Admin in printing plans.
