New Event! The Nicaraguan Ambassador Fransisco Campbell has invited UMD students, faculty, and staff to visit the embassy in Washington DC on May 5, 2023 at 3:00 PM. UMD students and faculty have visited Nicaragua on several occasions in recent years including a study abroad course on agriculture and environment that is hosted each Winter Term, and an Engineers without Borders project that has been ongoing for several years. The Ambassador would like to welcome us to the Embassy and invite further people-to-people interactions with Nicaraguans. The Ambassador especially welcomes those who have been involved in past programs in Nicaragua or who may like to attend future ones, as well as anyone interested in Nicaragua.
