I am excited to share with you this incredible opportunity I have been pulling together. This is a two part event, and while I encourage you to attend both events, you are welcome to attend one without the other.
The first is a tour of the UMD Terp Farm guided by the Terp Farm Manager, Guy Kilpatric. At the farm, staff grow vegetables using sustainable practices for Dining Services and Terps at UMD. The tour will include a visit to the production areas (fields and greenhouses), as well as where produce is harvested and cleaned before heading to campus.
The first 22 registrants will be able to attend. You will receive a confirmation email by Thursday, April 6th. Registrants on the waitlist will be contacted if additional spots become available.
When? Saturday April 8th, 9:45am-12:30pm
Where? Meet at STAMP Student Union, Traveling to Upper Marlboro

As a partner event, we are also hosting a tour of the Campus Pantry! Learn more about how the university provides access to free nutritional food for students, and how they work with Terp Farm and other local partners. This is a super unique event to learn about the internal operations of this incredible student resource.

Where? Right outside the Campus Pantry, next to the Commons Shop
