Interested in a career in the field of agronomy, plant science, or horticulture? Looking for opportunities to learn about potential careers, connect with companies, and develop leadership skills? Consider applying to the Agriculture Future of America Crop Science Institute!
What is Agriculture Future of America (AFA)?What is Crop Science Institute?
- AFA is a non-profit organization that serves to provide college students interested in agriculture, food and natural resources opportunities within these related industries. They bring together students through conferences and institutes to interact with industry professionals, learn about job opportunities, and meet students from all different backgrounds interested in ag and natural resources!
- Crop Science Institute is a specialized conference hosted by AFA every year in July. This institute focuses on current topics in crop and plant production, as well as provides opportunities for students to learn about future careers. In 2024 the institute will be held from July 21-23 in. St. Louis, MO. Applications are currently open but will close on March 28th!
Will Crop Science Institute cost me anything?
- If you are accepted to Crop Institute, your accommodations for the entire event - including hotels and meals - are covered by AFA! The only cost of the institute will be transportation to and from the conference, however, AGNR just opened up a new scholarship to fund students specifically for events such as this! Up to $500 can be awarded, which will cover the cost of transportation, and the application can be found here!
