EA Spring Break in Brazil - 9/30/26 Deadline

Expand your studies globally to Brazil (3-credit AGST/ANSC 470) over Spring Break 2027 — and apply for scholarships to make it affordable!

Dr. Cardoso and Dr. Silvert, who co-lead the program, have pre-recorded an information session video that reviews the course, the itinerary in Brazil, and financial and application considerations:

We are less than one month away from the application deadline (September 30, 2026). You don't need to commit to joining the program when submitting an application. See information and the link to apply here.
Stop by and see us at the Study Abroad Fair on Sept 9th to learn more too!

We are also happy to share multiple scholarships, described in the video, that can reduce the cost of this study abroad course. Please connect with the Education Abroad team to learn more about these.
*Lastly, note that out-of-pocket costs in the portal are estimated and will not be billed for the program and all costs in the portal are before applying any scholarship support. Also, note that speaking Portuguese is not required.

  • Scholarship notification day: October 13th
  • Commitment deadline: October 19th
  • For the Gilman Guarantee, only Pell-eligible students who work with NSO to apply for the Gilman (which is only for students who receive a Pell Grant) will receive that initial $500. Just wanted to clear that up in case all students think they are automatically getting $500, which is not the case. But all students can apply for our regular EA Scholarships, which they could potentially be awarded, along with the AGNR EA funds.
